Australian Food Safety Week 2016
Australian Food Safety Week is the major activity of the Food Safety Information Council, Australia’s leading disseminator of community targeted food safety information and a health promotion charity. Australian Food Safety Week 2016 will be held from 6 to 12 November 2016. The theme for the week will be chosen at our planning day to be held 1 June 2016. If you would like to be involved in our planning day find out how to become a member.

The theme for Australian Food Safety Week, 8 to 15 November 2015, was ‘Did you know? (busting the food safety myths).
There are a lot of myths out there about what causes food poisoning so during the Week we released the latest consumer research about what Australians understand about food safety, plus some simple tips to help people reduce their risk of getting sick.
